We, Women was born in conjunction with the growing frustration of women's disempowerment and hidden voices expressed in movements like #metoo. It rallies womxn photographers to shape a national conversation about problems, solutions, and the path towards common ground.
We gave the brand superpowers to arm visual revolutionaries everywhere. Like all superhero insignias, the We, Women logo is bold and daring with its strong lines; fearless with its striking colors; and memorable with its iconography–interlocking Ws that represent engagement and collaboration. All in all, a radical logo for a radical transformation of image-making. After all, is there anything women can't do?
We, Women's first exhibition is currently on display at the Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York City. The Power of We is the largest social impact photo-based project by women and gender nonconforming artists across the United States. This dynamic national traveling exhibition showcases 17 projects by 20 artists, with whom we collaborated for 6 months toward the design of their individual exhibition panels.
